Totally forgot to do this last week, but the sequel to Memoirs of a Wind Mage has been posted! It's up on AO3 and FFNet, and is being co-authored with the incredible Jazzy Kandra.

You do not need to have read Memoirs to understand what's going on.

And yes, Vaati will be appearing within the next couple chapters.

Well. Memoirs of a Wind Mage is finally done. It's been posted over at AO3, too, for convenience. A sequel will eventually be written, but for now I want to treasure that MoaWM has concluded at last. And there's some life stuff to get on to. When the next part goes up on AO3, I'll make a journal for it.

Heya. Been years since I lasted submitted anything. Went through two PCs that quit on me, got too far deep into the OFF fandom, adopted a dog, plus a bunch of other offline stuff that happened. Anyway, got a refurbished computer, most of my files have been recovered, and I'm wanting to do one specific thing before the end of the year: finish Memoirs of a Wind Mage.

It’s been, what, 5 years since the hiatus began? Well now it’s finally getting done. Chapter 10 needs a beta, the next one’s in progress, and the last two chapters are 99% done.

'Bout time, eh?

Wow, it's been almost a whole year since I last posted anything.

So here's what happened: late in 2011 my old Windows XP wigged out. I couldn't get on it unless it was in safe mode. Using the Wii, I was able to keep up with writing a blog or two for StarRoadGuardian, but it was tedious. I couldn't get anything done. Most days online were spent hanging out at Awesome Canadian Gamers Ventcast's forums. In early 2012 I was offered a job to help pay for a new computer. It wasn't until around May or so of last year that I was able to secure a slightly used computer at a decent price.

Around late 2012 real life took a swing at my head and all efforts were dedicated to keeping my life in order. Spring 2013 I was in college, still trying to keep things in order as well as write articles for ACGV (that stopped in February). I even stopped checking up on MSPA for new Homestuck updates. I simply couldn't be bothered.

Fast forward to now. Things have wound down a bit. Can't devote as much time as I would like to Memoirs of a Wind Mage, but it is not canceled. The way events are going to be related in Part 2 has been worked out (much better than what was originally planned) and although Part 3 hasn't been fully planned, I can go back to MoaWM as soon as soon ideas are gathered up. The metaphorical well of them is empty though save for a few key events. No clue how chapter 10 will go down. May need to start asking around for prompts or ideas.

Now, I haven't been paying much attention to DA. I've been on tumblr, mainly reblogging music, and reading things on FFdotnet. If you want to get a hold of me quick or just say hi, feel free to send an ask. smashyq.tumblr.com/ask

And Hyrule Historia has disappointingly little on the Gerudo and Vaati.
